The transfer includes an initial fee of £30.3 million, with an additional £4.3 million in add-ons. Diakite, 24, is currently in the UK completing a medical before finalising the move.

The signing would make Diakite the club’s second most expensive player, behind striker Evanilson, who arrived from Porto last season.
